“Forest Thinker,” by J. Slattum

J. SLATTUM is a self-taught artist, his work entering a visionary surreal world. After a near-death experience in 2007, inspired by a personal enlightenment, Slattum fell into a world of paint. Using the point of the paintbrush as a focus, he views the process of creating as his meditation. His subjects gravitate towards anything that may answer those great philosophical Whys of The Universe, from quantum physics to metaphysics, mythology to psychedelics. In his art, he invites his viewers to question their beliefs, to travel inward, and to find their own answers within. Working from his studio in Portland, Oregon, his work is collected internationally, thanks to a deep following. His work is available on www.jslattum.com.

Giant Kewpie

Jason Freeny

"Giant Kewpie," by Jason Freeny.

JASON FREENY has worked as a “pin-up” illustrator and a toy designer, a combination that has spawned a surreal mixture where innocence clashes with maturity.

Armed with a youthful, overactive imagination, Jason creates smart, intricate works that tickle the deviant intellect through a mix of hard graphics, detailed anatomy, pop iconography and wit.

Jason went full time as a working artist in 2010 and can now be found hunched over his work table developing works of candy colored madness. Shop for art or browse his gallery at www.moistproduction.com.
